Windshield Problem?

Windshield Problem?
If the scratches can easily catch your fingernail, then, no there's nothing that you can do at home that will solve your problem short of replacing the windshield.

If they're much lighter, try getting a glass scratch-remover/polishing kit. You'll do a lot more effective work if you have a dremel tool or a small buffing kit to work the material on the windshield, since hand-removing the scratches is hand-straining work.

When you get the kit, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER!!! If you don't, you can easily haze/etch your windshield. That being said, it's not that hard of a system to work with, and if you're meticulous, you can end up with a crystal clear windshield.
Windshield Problem?
Nope! need to replace the windshield.
It's nearly impossible to buff or polish those scratches out of the glass. You really only have the option of replacing the windshield. It's about $250-300 on most cars. You'll be amazed at the difference in how well you can see, though!
actually, you can try waxing the windshield with a high grade carnuba wax, and buff it repeatedly...

otherwise you're stuck with the scratches until you replace the windshield.
yes get a new windsheld or get some old glass you dont need eny more and melt then wen it is still hot and put it on the windsheld then even it out with ruler.
depending on how bad the scratches are you have a chance of getting rid of it. Sounds like your situation can be resolved. I had scratches from my wipers metal scrapping my windshield and not replacing them soon enough and it cause all sorts of scratches. I just use a good high quality car glass cleaner and wiped it down really good with newspaper and it went away and now it's as there was never any scratches at least that I can see. If that doesn't work you can try using this orange hand cleaners made to clean grease off dirty mechanic's hands. Use the pre moistened wipes or get a small amount of the paste and rub it into the cracks in a circular fashion and that should take care of any hairline scratches.
