What can i use on my winshield to take a faint scratch off of it? i bought a truck and it has a scratch on the windshield from a old wiper, someone must of been to lazy to change it .....lol someone said toothpaste, anything else u know of

A very fine polishing compound will get it out, but be very careful. Try it first in a spot that is not in your normal sight path. Rub very lightly. Hope this helps
PS. I have heard of using toothpaste before, but have never tried it. Might be worth a try.

Most insurance companies do not cover scratches in any case, as this is considered normal wear and tear, similar to your tires wearing out.
Regardless, a scratched windshield usually must be replaced, but your local auto glass shop can give you an assessment as to whether the scratch can be buffed.
I know of only one way to eliminate a scratch. Get a new one. If you have windshield replacement on your insurance , use the insurance If you don't have it call your insurance company. It only cost@ average $2.00 a month to add it even if you only have minimum liability
